The nearest and most convenient airport is Asturias Airport (OVD), which is 47 km away from Oviedo.

There are frequent connections with London, Paris, Madrid and Barcelona airports.

ALSA shuttle buses connect the airport with Oviedo bus station roughly every hour, between 6 am and 11 pm. The bus takes approximately 45 minutes and the one-way fare is 7.5€. Advance tickets can be bought online; alternatively, you can buy your ticket from the bus driver. You can find more information on their website. A taxi from the Airport to Oviedo city centre will take 35-45 minutes and cost approximately 60€.

Santander Airport (SDR), is approximately one and a half hours away by car, or three hours by ALSA bus. This is a long-distance bus and tickets should be bought in advance.

ALSA also operates a bus service between Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) and Oviedo bus station, which takes 5-6 hours. Tickets should be bought in advance. Fares vary. Please check their website for more information.

RENFE trains connect Madrid with Oviedo, at a frequency of 2-4 trains a day. FEVE trains (now part of RENFE) connect Oviedo with the north of Spain (Galicia, Cantabria, País Vasco). Fares vary. Please visit their website for more information.

The train station is located at the end of Calle Uría, in the heart of the city centre. It is served by several bus lines (including line C2 Facultades-Lugones to the Humanities Campus) and it is within walking distance of most hotels and of both conference venues. There is a taxi rank outside the station.

A good number of ALSA buses run between Madrid and Oviedo every day. The duration of the trip is 5 to 6 hours, and fares vary depending on the time of day and type of bus. ALSA also connects Oviedo with most Spanish cities. Please visit their website for more information.

Oviedo bus station is centrally located within walking distance of the commercial city centre (Calle Uría) and the conference venues. It is served by bus line C2 Facultades-Lugones (to the Humanities Campus). There is a taxi rank outside the station.
