Isabel Carrera Suárez Isabel Carrera Suárez is Professor in English at the University of Oviedo. She has published widely on the intersections between feminism and postcolonialism, particularly as reflected in contemporary women’s fiction. Among recent publications are Reading Transcultural Cities (coedited, 2011) and her discussion of the aesthetics of pedestrianism in post-diasporic cities (Interventions 17.6; 2015).
Emilia María Durán Almarza Emilia María Durán-Almarza is Senior Lecturer in English at the University of Oviedo. She specializes in Postcolonial Literatures and Gender Studies, with a special interest in the performative and literary productions of Caribbean Diasporas. She is the author of several books, articles and book chapters in international leading journals and edited volumes.

Esther Álvarez López Esther Álvarez López is Senior Lecturer at the University of Oviedo. Her research focuses on American literature, in particular the intersection of race, ethnicity and gender. She has edited and co-edited volumes on this field, and published in books and academic journals, both nationally and internationally.
Carmen Alfonso García María del Carmen Alfonso García is Senior Lecturer at the Department of Spanish Philology of the University of Oviedo since 1999. Her research explores national and gender identities within the context of Contemporary Spanish Literature. She focuses on the connections between nation and gener and their aesthetic and cultural implications for ethnic constructions, and its relationship with the city as microcosm that both reflects and creates these symbolic imaginaries.
Luz Mar González Arias Luz Mar González Arias is Senior Lecturer in the English Department at the University of Oviedo. Her research focuses primarily in the areas of body theory and medical humanities, as applied to the work of contemporary Irish women poets. She is currently working on a book-length monograph on the life and poetry of Dorothy Molloy.
Christina Jurcic Christina Jurcic is a lecturer of German Language, Literature and Culture at the University of Oviedo. She also teaches Feminist Theory and Spatial Theory in the Master Programme on Gender. Her research interests are in representation of space and gender in the New Literatures in German Language. She is also working on postcolonial writing in German literary texts.
Carla Rodríguez González Carla Rodriguez González is Senior Lecturer in the Department of English, French and German Studies at the University of Oviedo. She holds a BA and a PhD from this institution. Her research focuses on contemporary literaures in English, postcolonial and gender studies. She has published books, edited collections, translations, and articles in international academic journals in these fields.
